Duluth!!!

Kieran had a blast in Duluth! We went up to see Thomas the Tank Engine and take a ride on the train, we did that on Sunday, and he really enjoyed it. He got a new hat and a small train set that goes with his wooden railroad that is apple scented because the cars are from an apple orchard. We stayed at the Holiday Inn downtown, and he loved to swim and eat in the restaurants. We did a lot of window shopping downtown and spent quite a bit of time in canal park and on the piers. Kieran's absolutely favorite part was the Maritime museum in canal park that was free. We went there two days and he was fascinated by everything. When we went to Duluth when he was four he loved it also. We went on a boat with the Vista Fleet that gives a tour of the harbor and part of Lake Superior, he remembered a lot of the tour from when we went on it two years ago, he was telling me how the loaders worked before the tour guide did! He knows all about taconite and oar boats and petty much everything to do with shipping, he remembers everything and constantly surprises me with his knowledge and vocabulary. What a smart kid! Anyway, we decided to stay an extra day because we didn't quite get enough of Duluth, so we didn't come home until Wednesday night. It was a wonderful trip, I am so happy we were able to spend so much time together! Enjoy the photos!
